Welcome to Westwind Ministries!

STEPS TO FOLLOW:

1. View whatever comes your way as something God is going to use for His greater purposes.  This keeps you from becoming bitter, hostile, or vengeful.  When the Lord allows people to touch your life, see them as an instrument, even if they cause you great pain.

Romans 8:28 (AMP)
28 We are assured and know that [God being a partner in their labor] all things work together and are [fitting into a plan] for good to and for those who love God and are called according to [His] design and purpose.

2. Keep your focus on the Lord, NO MATTER  WHAT! If you don’t you are going to react.  When you stay focus on God, the things Satan uses to paralyze you will lose their power to distract.  You will no longer listen to the accusing or false voices around you.  REMEMBER—Satan amplifies everything that looks like opposition.  He wants things to look worse.  That is why God wants you to focus your mind & heart on Him.

Exodus 14:14 (AMP)
14 The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace and remain at rest.

3. Completely rely upon God’s strength.  Conflict, persecution, & spiritual warfare can drain your physical, emotional & spiritual energy.  You wake up thinking about the situation.  You go to bed thinking about it.  Your “enemies” Know you have weaknesses, they are looking for the first little sign of fear.  If they see it they will come after you.  You may be perfectly right in what you’re standing for.  But extreme pressure can cause you to doubt the Lord’s strength.

4. Recognize that you’re fighting a spiritual battle.  Understand the nature of the battle you are in.  Take inventory ask yourself these questions.

a. Does this battle have any effect upon the work of God?

b. Am I in the place where the Lord wants me, doing the job He wants me to do.

c. Is my stand scriptural and am I actually doing something God has called me to? Or is the main objective based more on my personal opinion or preference?

d. What is at stake if I leave the fight or stay in it-if I win or lose?

e. How will others be affected by my response to this persecution? By it’s ultimate outcome?

5. Expect to be victorious.  We can expect to win every battle God allows in our lives because of His ultimate sovereignty, not because of our strength,  our wisdom or our experience.  Since He is sovereign God has everything in perfect control.

PRAY-OUT LOUD– Father, I thank You that because Your Son Jesus died on the cross & defeated Satan, I have power & authority over the enemy. I’m going to exercise that power & authority & put him under my feet.  In the name of Jesus, I declare that by God’s grace I will no longer allow Satan to steal the Word from me.  I will put on the shoes of peace so that I may remain peaceful at all times.  I will spend with You & in Your Word, being careful to watch my mouth & to submit myself to You in personal obedience.  I will walk in love, & know the difference between who I am in Christ & what I  do in my human frailty, I will think about what I am thinking about  & praying at all times in all places about everything.-Thank you for Your love for me & for Your glorious plan for my life.  In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.  (Prayer by Joyce Meyer).

Romans 8:28 (AMP)
28 We are assured and know that [God being a partner in their labor] all things work together and are [fitting into a plan] for good to and for those who love God and are called according to [His] design and purpose.

Romans 8:31-32 (AMP)
31 What then shall we say to [all] this? If God is for us, who [can be] against us? [Who can be our foe, if God is on our side?]
32 He who did not withhold or spare [even] His own Son but gave Him up for us all, will He not also with Him freely and graciously give us all [other] things?

****IMPORTANT Reminder-If you judge, you are going to be judged.  And so, when He says that if you are angry you are subject to judgment, meaning that your anger is an open invitation to God to step in at any moment and judge you.  All hell breaks loose once I begin to judge another.  It means then and there I have lost control and have broken the sixth commandment (Thou shall not kill).  So the next time you begin to lose your temper, remember, in that moment you should be saying, "God, I am right now being subject to judgment; come and judge me".   (Grace, RT Kendall pg. 147)

Four Things  NOT  to do in a Battle:

1. Endure & Keep moving WITHOUT defending yourself, blasting someone else, or seeking vengeance.  ****

2. DO NOT LAUNCH AN ATTACK ON YOUR ENEMIES.

3. DO NOT JUDGE, CRITIZE & CONDEMN.

4. DO NOT MANIPULATE THE CIRCUMSTANCES.

What  to do   -

1. HOLD YOUR PEACE– STAND FIRM, It is the Lord who is fighting your battle for you.

2. Keep your focus on God.

3. IF you are truly where God wants you to be.  Do not give up—no matter what.
