16 You shall not witness falsely against your neighbor.

Colossians 3:9 (AMP)

Lying is a sin that is a struggle from one's youth.

Romans 1:25 (AMP)
25 Because they exchanged the truth of God for a lie and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, Who is blessed forever! Amen (so be it).

God hates lying.

6 You will destroy those who speak lies; the Lord abhors [and rejects] the bloodthirsty and deceitful man.

Psalms 31:18 (AMP)

Lying is not a choice for the Believer.

Psalms 34:13 (AMP)
13 Keep your tongue from evil and your lips from speaking deceit.

Telling the truth is God's way.

Ephesians 4:25 (AMP)
25 Therefore, rejecting all falsity and being done now with it, let everyone express the truth with his neighbor, for we are all parts of one body and members one of another.

Colossians 3:9 (AMP)
9 Do not lie to one another, for you have stripped off the old (unregenerate) self with its evil practices,

1 John 2:21 (AMP)
21 I write to you not because you are ignorant and do not perceive and know the Truth, but because you do perceive and know it, and [know positively] that nothing false (no deception, no lie) is of the Truth.

Psalms 15:1-2 (AMP)
1 A Psalm of David. LORD, WHO shall dwell [temporarily] in Your tabernacle? Who shall dwell [permanently] on Your holy hill?
2 He who walks and lives uprightly and blamelessly, who works rightness and justice and speaks and thinks the truth in his heart,
